Every great animal hospital has a story, and at Oak Landing, ours begins with one very special dog.
Mossy Oak was my mountain cur and, long before this hospital was even a dream, she became the foundation of my veterinary career. She was there through the long days, late nights, uncertainty, and challenges of veterinary school. She was a constant reminder of why I chose this profession in the first place: because the bond between people and their pets matters.
The name Oak Landing is inspired by Mossy Oak and the places that shaped me. To me, an oak tree represents strength, character, and a place where people can feel grounded. That is what I want this hospital to be for the community—a place where people know they can bring their pets and be met with excellent medicine, genuine compassion, and a team that truly cares.
As I have practiced veterinary medicine, I have seen how difficult it can be for families to get the care their pets need, when they need it. Veterinary hospitals are busy, appointments can be difficult to find, and sometimes families simply need to have their pet seen that same day. I believe our community deserves another option.
Mossy Oak Started the Story, Oak Landing Carries It Forward
I am starting Oak Landing Animal Hospital because I want to build a practice around being there for people.
That means providing high-quality medicine without losing the personal relationship between a veterinarian, a pet, and their family.
It means making every effort to offer same-day care when a pet is sick or something doesn't feel right. It means knowing our clients and their pets, listening to their concerns, explaining their options, and helping them make decisions they feel confident about.
Most importantly, I want to be the veterinarian people know they can turn to when they need someone to take care of their pet.
Mossy Oak taught me how much a dog can mean to a person. She was there at the beginning of my journey into veterinary medicine, and her influence is a part of why this hospital exists today.
Oak Landing is my way of building something from that foundation—a veterinary hospital where high-quality medicine and genuine relationships come together, and where every pet and every family feels like they matter.
I hope Oak Landing becomes more than a place people bring their pets for an appointment. I hope it becomes a place the community knows, trusts, and feels grateful to have when they need it most.
