Welcome to Oak Landing Animal Hospital
We’re so glad you’re considering Oak Landing Animal Hospital for your pet’s care!
We know choosing a veterinarian is an important decision. Our goal is to make your first visit as easy and comfortable as possible—for both you and your pet.
Whether you're bringing home a new puppy or kitten, moving to the area with an established pet, or simply looking for a veterinary team you can trust, we're here to provide thoughtful, personalized care throughout your pet's life.

Before Your First Visit
Complete Your New Client Information
To help us make your first visit as efficient as possible, please complete our New Client Form before arriving. If you aren't able to complete the form ahead of time, don't worry—we can assist you when you arrive.
Please Bring Your Pet's Medical Records
Having a complete picture of your pet's health history helps us provide the most accurate care possible. Please provide:
- Previous medical records
- Vaccine records
- Laboratory results
- Current medication list
- Previous diagnostic imaging (if applicable)
- Information about any ongoing medical conditions
Sharing these records in advance allows us to review your pet's history thoroughly and avoid duplicate laboratory testing.
Bring a Fresh Stool Sample
We recommend bringing a fresh fecal sample (collected within 12 hours) to your first visit. This allows us to screen for intestinal parasites effectively. Please bring the sample in a clean, sealed container or plastic bag.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment is about more than simply checking your pet's weight and giving vaccines. We'll take time to get to know you and your pet. During your visit, your veterinarian will discuss:
- Medical history
- Diet and nutrition
- Lifestyle and environment
- Vaccination needs
- Parasite prevention
- Dental health
- Weight and body condition
- Behavioral or developmental concerns
- Preventative healthcare needs
We will work with you to create a preventative healthcare plan tailored specifically for your pet's needs.
We Encourage Questions
Never hesitate to ask questions during your pet's visit. Communication is key to providing your pet with the best possible care, and we want to ensure you feel comfortable and informed.
What Should I Bring?
- Your pet
- Any previous medical records
- A fresh stool sample
- A list of any current medications
- Any questions you may have
Note: Bringing your medication bottles can be helpful to ensure we have the correct dosages and brand information.
Please Bring Your Pet Safely
For the safety of all our patients and their owners, we ask that all dogs be on a secure leash and all cats be in a safe, secure carrier when arriving at the hospital.
New Puppy or Kitten?
Congratulations on your new companion! We are excited to partner with you in their care from the very start. At your first visit, we will cover:
- A core and lifestyle-based vaccine schedule
- Parasite screening and prevention
- Nutritional guidance for growth
- Behavioral and socialization tips
- Options for spaying or neutering
New Adult or Senior Pet?
We will perform a comprehensive physical exam and review your pet's vaccine and medical history. For adult and senior pets, we may recommend baseline screening, such as blood work or diagnostic imaging, to ensure we have a full understanding of their health status.
Appointments, Same-Day Care & Walk-Ins
We operate by appointment to ensure we have dedicated time for each patient. However, we understand that pets can become sick or injured unexpectedly.
If your pet has an urgent need, please call us. We will do our best to accommodate your pet with same-day care. While we will always accept walk-ins in an emergency, priority is given to scheduled patients and those with urgent needs who have called ahead.
Payment & Financing
Payment is due at the time services are provided. For your convenience, we accept:
- Cash
- Credit cards
- Debit cards
- CareCredit
- Scratchpay
- Cherry
We also offer financing through CareCredit for those who qualify. We are always happy to provide a written estimate for your pet's care upon request.
